Getting the Most Out of Bridgely
Not sure what kind of messages to send?
Let these ideas and examples inspire you to start the conversation.

General Tips
- In your phone’s settings, turn on (allow) Notifications from Bridgely to ensure you don’t miss a message from your sponsored child or an exciting message from the Hope Center.
- Take time to read the messages from other sponsors and children. You’ll get to see some of your sponsored child’s friends and you may get some great ideas for messages to send to your child.
- Remember that your child won’t respond immediately to your message. We want to ensure that Child Champions remain focused on ministering to the children, so the Facilitator will send messages from children to their sponsors about once a month, though it can be a little longer at times.
All examples below are actual posts from sponsors on Bridgely!
Ask your child a question
What do you want to be when you grow up? What’s your favorite food, animal, game, school subject, etc.? What can I pray for you?

Tell your child about yourself
Introduce your family or share something about your work, a favorite Bible verse, or your hobbies.

Encourage the Child Champions at the Hope Center
The hard work of Child Champions often goes unseen. Thank them for their work in caring for the children or for sharing updates in the Cause Community.

Show your child your world
Do you live near a lake or mountain? What’s the weather like there? If you paint or do crafts, share a picture of your work.

Look for things in common
Do you and your child share a favorite animal, sport, hobby, or birth month? Telling your child about it will help them feel closer to you.

Ask the Facilitator a Question
Share your curiosity with questions: What kind of food do the children like? How do you celebrate Easter? What are the biggest challenges children face in your community?

Respond to things your child says
Let them know you’ve seen their messages by responding to their questions and things they told you.

Encourage your child with a vision for the future
Children thrive on encouragement from trusted adults. Let your child know you believe in her and her potential.

Remind your child you care
Remind your sponsored child that you care for him, that you are praying for him, or share your hopes for him.

Share a special moment from your Church or home community
Share a fun video from your church’s VBS, a sponsorship event, a local Christmas parade, or pumpkin festival.

Engage with posts from the Community
As Frontline Child Champions show you their community and activities at the Hope Center, it means so much when you respond with your comments and encouragement.
