Hope is on the way. It will take just a moment as we gather the kids waiting for a sponsor.
We want to tell you about an organization called OneChild. OneChild is a Christian child development nonprofit that works to bring hope, truth, life, love and mercy to almost 40,000 children living in poverty all over the world through child sponsorship. Through sponsorship, a child in need will receive nutritional support, medical aid, educational assistance, and mostly importantly, an opportunity to learn about God’s great love for them!
We live in a world that needs creative solutions to poverty and is desperately seeking for the Lord’s hope and light to come into its darkest places. And so many of these impoverished children are living in the midst of hopelessness, worry, and devastating circumstances. By receiving a sponsor, not only will they have the means to survive, but they will learn that their name is known by someone who cares for them. And isn’t that what we all truly desire? To know that we are seen, heard, and loved.
We encourage you to prayerfully consider joining our global community on this journey to change the world we are living in. While we cannot change the whole world on our own, we can change the world for one child. And when we all join our strengths and resources together, our shared purpose will make a huge difference. OneChild sponsors provide hope, love and support to children living in poverty. And they empower an entire global community of caring individuals who walk alongside those children as they grow. Through that global community, sponsorship provides the resources and opportunities children in hard places need to rise above their circumstances and reach their potential in Christ. In fact, recent research demonstrates that child sponsorship is one of the most effective ways to combat global poverty. There’s real power in one person reaching out to one child through community—power that changes both lives!
Our accountability to our donors is one of our highest priorities. Our goal is to use the funds entrusted to us as wise stewards. Doing so requires continued monitoring of our fund distribution. OneChild is also a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), has a four-star Charity Navigator rating, and has the Affinity Seal of Compliance.
