Since launching Love Alive in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we have been a church that is passionate about displaying our love for God, people, and our community.
We are a generous church and are always looking for opportunities to help our community. In doing so, we’ve spent countless hours giving back to the local community here in Baton Rouge through various outreach projects and are looking to expand our opportunity to serve the global community.
That’s why Love Alive Church is extremely excited about a new partnership that God has opened for us with OneChild.
OneChild is a ministry that works to bring hope, truth, life, love, and mercy to over 40,000 children living in poverty all over the world. OneChild works with indigenous churches to help equip these children to meet their God-given potential by providing opportunities for transformational development spiritually, physically, mentally, and relationally.
OneChild shares our heart and desire to build relationships that are working toward meeting the needs of “the least of these.” This is something God has commissioned us all to do!
In joining the partnership with OneChild we are looking to sponsor a child who will be receiving care through the OneChild Hope Center in Honduras. By sponsoring a child, we will be making a lasting impact on the child and his or her family. Services that OneChild provides include nutritional support, medical aid, educational assistance, disaster relief, and most importantly, an opportunity for kids to learn about and experience the love of God.
I’m asking each of you to prayerfully consider joining Cristian, my family, and me in sponsoring a child through OneChild. We believe together we can accomplish so much more than any of us could ever accomplish alone.

OneChild sponsors provide encouragement, love, and support to kids living in poverty. And they empower an entire community of caring individuals who walk alongside those children as they grow. Through that community, sponsorship provides the resources and opportunities children need to rise above their circumstances and reach their potential in Christ. In fact, recent research demonstrates that child sponsorship is one of the most effective ways to combat global poverty. There’s real power in one person reaching out to one child through community — power that changes both lives!
Our accountability to our donors is one of our highest priorities. Our goal is to use the funds entrusted to us as wise stewards. Doing so requires continued monitoring of our fund distribution. OneChild is also a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), has a four-star Charity Navigator rating, and has the Affinity Seal of Compliance.
