Refund Policy

At OneChild Global, we deeply value the generosity of our donors and sponsors who partner with us in our mission. We strive to ensure transparency, accountability, and clarity in the giving process.

Refund Policy

By making a charitable gift to OneChild Global, a 501(c)(3) organization, the donor understands that charitable donations are not refundable. Refunds will only be processed in the event of a mistake or an extreme circumstance as determined by OneChild Global.

If the purpose for which the gift is given cannot be fulfilled by OneChild Global, the party who originally made the contribution may designate the funds for another purpose. If the donor cannot be located after a reasonable search, OneChild Global will consider the donor’s original intent and determine how the funds shall be used. The board of directors will have final authority to decide upon the use of funds in these circumstances.

Donors who receive refunds are fully responsible for correctly reporting the refund on tax filings. A 1099 may be issued for the refunded amount.

Recurring Donations & Sponsorship Commitments

Donors and sponsors may cancel their recurring donation or child sponsorship at any time by contacting us. Please note that cancellation stops future payments but does not result in refunds of prior contributions, which remain subject to the refund policy above.

How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the donation or sponsorship transaction. Requests should include the donor’s name, transaction details, and reason for the request.

Donor/Sponsor Acknowledgment

By proceeding with this donation/sponsorship, I acknowledge that contributions to OneChild Global are generally non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered if funds cannot be spent for the purpose for which they are being donated, or in cases of processing errors or extreme circumstances as determined by OneChild Global.
