Please take a minute to learn about OneChild’s innovative sponsorship model!

Faith

We encourage children to grow in their relationship with God in many different ways, depending on the country where the child lives. As kids grow in their faith and learn about God’s love, they discover true hope for the future. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us!

Health

Children attending OneChild Hope Centers receive nutritious food or supplements, which helps kids stay healthy and fights child hunger. At Hope Centers, kids also enjoy child development opportunities that improve their physical coordination and promote exercise. Children also receive preventive medical check-ups and immunizations to fight common diseases. In addition, kids learn how to take care of their bodies, avoid high-risk behaviors, and protect themselves from illness through simple and effective hygiene habits.

Education

Many OneChild Hope Centers are schools. At these locations, children are instructed in a range of subjects and skills. In communities where schools are in place, Hope Centers provide tutoring services to help children in poverty with their studies and encourage them in their education. Every child is taught problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, literacy, and math skills. Kids also develop critical life skills. In addition to academics, older children typically receive vocational training. This training ranges from instruction in trades like sewing and carpentry to farming. As adolescents master these vocational skills, they have the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty and thrive!

Community

OneChild Hope Centers are places of unconditional love and support for children. The attention children receive assures them they are loved and provides them with the emotional support they need to overcome difficult situations. In some cases counseling is provided for children who need it. At Hope Centers, children are also encouraged to socialize with others and treat everyone with kindness and respect. Sports, music, drama, and special outings are typically offered to facilitate positive interaction among children.

Sponsored children are cared for in physical locations called Hope Centers, which are usually attached to partnering churches or schools. Hope Centers are welcoming spaces where children feel loved and at home. You can help a child in poverty attend a Hope Center and receive life-changing child development opportunities by sponsoring a child!
