Children around the world and their families living in poverty face severe risk due to the public health and economic impacts of COVID-19. Parents who depend on daily work just to buy food cannot meet basic needs during government-mandated lockdowns, and we see widespread food scarcity and child hunger. Many of our Hope Centers have also experienced extreme challenges due to humanitarian crises, civil unrest, or natural disasters like the recent hurricane in Central America or typhoon in the Philippines that affected children’s lives.
