We are accountable to the children we serve AND to our donors.

Our accountability to our donors is one of our highest priorities. Our goal is to use the funds entrusted to us as wise stewards. To do this requires continued monitoring of our fund distribution. Dareth plans to make an impact on as many children as possible, raising a generation that will be reshaped by hope and become a people who love and serve God. Hapi Wanje

Hapi Wanje

Director of Mobilization & Program Support – Africa

When Hapi Wanje was younger, he had an important mentor who wanted to make a difference in his life. Because of the sacrifices and love this person shared with Hapi, he was able to have a platform from which to grow and thrive. Gracious and giving, Hapi has spent years trying to provide the same kind of mentorship in other people’s lives. He sees the high percentage of young people in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Zimbabwe as an opportunity for hearts and mindsets to be transformed, leading churches and entire communities to a place where they can flourish. Since around 2005, Hapi has worked in multiple African countries with OneChild, where he sees innovation, creativity, and local church support as keys to unlocking children’s full potential. With OneChild’s guidance, he has helped facilitate church focus and organization which has resulted in equipping a generation of young people with skills and tools to positively contribute to the people and communities where they live. His hope for the future is to expand to neighboring countries like Uganda, Zambia, and Sudan so that even more African children’s lives can be transformed by the power of God. With support from his wife, Elizabeth, and their two sons, Hapi continues to pray that those he serves will never stop using God’s blessings to grow so that someday, they can be the ones to reach out and impact the world.

Janet Mutinda International Director

Janet Mutinda

Field Ministry Partner, Kenya

The gifts of teaching, leadership, service, and mercy are just some of the blessings Janet Mutinda brings to the 15-year-long partnership between New Life Home Trust and OneChild. A pastor for 21 years, Janet holds a Master’s of Divinity degree, a Master’s in Science, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership. She began her work with New Life Home Trust in October 2014 and is grateful for what she calls a “divine connection” and “synergetic relationship” with OneChild. Her passion for leadership development, safeguarding children’s rights, social justice, and mentoring perfectly align with OneChild’s focus in Kenya and give Janet the chance to engage with and express her natural gifts. With the various socioeconomic challenges Kenyans face, Janet is grateful for the hand up, not handout, that OneChild offers to children and their families. It is her hope that, through this partnership, she will continue to have the ability to reach children spiritually during their most critical stages of development. Janet’s own life is a testimony to how support can make a transformational impact on someone’s future. She is the person she is today because of the encouragement and assistance she received, and now, it is her turn to do for Kenyan children what others did for her. Alongside her husband Tim and three foster children, Janet looks forward to seeing God’s continued hope and promises for the children OneChild serves.

Jenny Kennedy | VP of Sponsor Ministries at OneChild

Jenny Kennedy

VP of Supporter Care and Experience

Jenny Kennedy has served with OneChild for over 25 years in several capacities. She is currently the Vice President of Supporter Care & Engagement , a role she considers in line with her heart’s desire to inspire others to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. Jenny sees helping children through sponsorship as part of Jesus’ teachings in Luke 9:48 that “whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me.” For a sponsor to discover God’s purpose in their life through their commitment to their sponsored child, a child impacted by poverty who may have lost all hope. And through this special and powerful relationship, a child discovers God’s purpose for their life. Having traveled to 9 of the 14 countries OneChild serves, there is one trip to India that has a special place in Jenny’s heart. On one of her visits to the schools OneChild partners with that serves and ministers to children in one of the largest and most devastating slums of New Delhi, Jenny visited a classroom full of children who were clean, healthy, and happy. At the back of the class was their teacher, a beautiful young lady radiating with joy and confidence, a formerly sponsored child herself from that very slum area. The project provided her the opportunity and encouragement to complete her education and return as a teacher; a life-changing opportunity for her and one that provides a better life for her, her mother, and younger brother. Jenny considers it a special privilege to pray with and encourage the thousands of sponsors who make this ministry possible. When she is not traveling, Jenny enjoys the company of her grandson and her two daughters.

He has played a vital role in opening Hope Centers and establishing a OneChild home office in Kenya. His passion for teaching, modeling Christian living, and serving others is fulfilled through his work with OneChild. With support from his wife, Susan, and their three children, Nicholas passionately expands the programmatic impact on the children in his care by bringing hope, integrity, and education to the children of Kenya.

Jonathan Munshi has been involved with OneChild (originally, Mission of Mercy) since the year 2000 and became chairman of the executive board of ASHIRBAD (our partnering organization) in March 2018. With a love for seeing people come to Christ to be saved, healed, and restored to the fullness of what God intends for mankind, Jonathan feels a deep connection with OneChild’s mission of bringing hope to hard places. Since 1990, he has served as a pastor strongly involved in outreach work, planting churches, evangelism, and youth leadership. He holds a degree in Theological Education from Southern Asia Bible College and has been blessed to serve as both district and country chairman for a church in Bangladesh. He also wants to start an income-generating program which will enable parents to provide their children with higher education opportunities and vocational training. With the support of his wife, Haeseen Im, and their two grown children, Jonathan continues to fulfill the Great Commission, one child at a time.

Ricardo Toyditz Cosico Jr.

Regional Program Support Manager, Asia

Toyditz Cosico began his journey with OneChild in March 2019. A school teacher by profession, Toyditz earned a BS in Education before being called to work in Community Development for the next 20 years. He then served for three years as a consultant for TearFund and was with Compassion International for nine years. Through his service in the Philippines, he has been able to fulfill his passion for outreach, as well as an interest in training and mentoring future leaders. Toyditz is a skilled relationship builder who works hard to connect with potential ministry partners and equip local churches, Hope Center staff, and colleagues all over the world with the tools they need to succeed. Alongside his wife, Manette (a fellow OneChild leader), and two grown sons, he is motivated to bring hope to children in hard places and to serve as an example that by the grace of God, they too can reach their full potential.

Hapi Wanje

Hapi Wanje

Regional Program Support Manager, Africa
