India
2020
Come on a life-changing adventure with us!
In January 2020, you will have the opportunity to experience India and see the transformational work of OneChild firsthand! The vision of OneChild began in India in 1954 in Kolkata and today has spread to 14 different countries around the world.
Come with us on this journey and experience how God is still at work in India today through the young children of this country. Our Child Champions at schools and Hope Centers in India are provide crucial help for the children.
There are 39 Hope Centers in India where Child Champions help more than 4,000 impoverished children. Many impoverished children in India drop out of school to work and do not get the opportunity to create a better future for themselves. That’s why OneChild’s schools and Hope Centers where children receive an education, tutoring and the tools to dream and plan for their futures are so crucial for kids’ futures.
This January come see for yourself the crucial difference your support makes for the children in India!

OneChild does not require any immunizations; however, it is always wise to have your tetanus shot up-to-date. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov), “You should become familiar with what steps to take and who to contact in case of a medical emergency while you are traveling.” We recommend that, 6 to 8 weeks before your departure, you consult with your physician, local health department or the CDC website http://www.cdc.gov/travel/ for information required and recommended immunizations for the country where you will be traveling. Some vaccinations require a series of doses spaced weeks apart.
Why do I need a background check?
To ensure the safety of our children and determine eligibility to travel with OneChild, all travelers must complete a criminal background check. To process background checks, OneChild uses a third party company. After completing trip registration, you will need to submit your background check request at https://onechildmatters.quickleasepro.com/. You will be asked to pay $45 by credit card to submit your request. This $45 expense is nonrefundable. The results of your background check are confidential and all personal information is kept in a secure location.
