Our church and Student Ministry has a long tradition of engagement with issues surrounding social justice.
I want to tell you that I, and the rest of the student team are pumped to continue our partnership with OneChild! Our church and Student Ministry has a long tradition of engagement with issues surrounding social justice. We are also committed to living out the gospel in our community and around the world. As part of this, we are taking a short term mission team to do ministry in Dominican Republic this summer, the week of July 3-10, 2020.
We are always interested in seeing our short term trips have a long term impact on us and the people we serve. That’s where OneChild comes in! Through our partnership with OneChild, we will have the opportunity to sponsor children in the DR, and build an ongoing relationship with them. And, since we’ll be there in July, students whose families sponsor a child will have the opportunity to meet that child while working on one of our projects.
Whether you’re heading on the trip or not, we hope you’ll prayerfully consider sponsorship. This is a tangible way to address poverty one child at a time. As our friends at OneChild always say, changing the world for one changes everything!

Children’s Best Hope: A Strong Church
Our vision for the church is global: The body of Christ growing, strong, united. If the church is strong in a poverty-stricken community, we know that we can effectively help the children living there. A strong local church partner is one of our prerequisites for ministry. And that ministry isn’t possible without the support of the church in the U.S.
We’re building a
community of hope.
OneChild sponsors provide encouragement, love and support to children living in poverty. And they empower an entire community of caring individuals who walk alongside those children as they grow. Through that community, sponsorship provides the resources and opportunities children need to rise above their circumstances and reach their potential in Christ. In fact, recent research demonstrates that child sponsorship is one of the most effective ways to combat global poverty. There’s real power in one person reaching out to one child through community—power that changes both lives!

WHERE WE SERVE
Dominican Republic
SPONSOR
A CHILD
OneChild sponsors empower the loving community that surrounds each child in our care. You can provide education, medical care, spiritual support, and hope to a child in desperate need.

We are accountable to the children we serve AND to our donors.
Our accountability to our donors is one of our highest priorities. Our goal is to use the funds entrusted to us as wise stewards. To do this requires continued monitoring of our fund distribution. OneChild is also a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA)
