We’re going “beyond our walls” to serve children around the world!
At Chapelhill, we feel called to extravagant generosity. We understand how blessed we are to be a thriving church, and we intentionally honor that blessing by giving back to Christ-centered ministries that serve those in need.
One of the ministries we’re excited to partner with is OneChild, who serves over 40,000 children in 15 countries throughout the world. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” We’re proud to support OneChild as they provide Christian discipleship, education, health monitoring, nutritional assistance, and social development to impoverished children.
Cindy and I have personally experienced the privilege of sponsoring a child in the Philippines through OneChild. Each letter we receive from our child reminds us that we’re making an eternal impact on her life by providing a way for her to hear about Jesus and have both her spiritual and physical needs met.

Our vision for the church is global: The body of Christ growing, strong, united. If the church is strong in a poverty-stricken community, we know that we can effectively help the children living there. A strong local church partner is one of our prerequisites for ministry. And that ministry isn’t possible without the support of the church in the U.S.

OneChild sponsors provide encouragement, love and support to children living in poverty. And they empower an entire community of caring individuals who walk alongside those children as they grow. Through that community, sponsorship provides the resources and opportunities children need to rise above their circumstances and reach their potential in Christ. We are accountable to the children we serve AND to our donors.
Our accountability to our donors is one of our highest priorities. Our goal is to use the funds entrusted to us as wise stewards. To do this requires continued monitoring of our fund distribution. OneChild is also a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA)
