Something has changed in me – I’ve become more focused and intentional about equipping our church to make this mission visible and recognizable throughout Westchester, across our nation, and globally. Over the past year, I’ve watched something changing in many of you as you’ve poured out resources to make a statement for Christ, regardless of your current state in life. It’s why I’m so excited to partner with a great organization called OneChild who brings hope, truth, life, love, and mercy to some 40,000 children living in poverty around the world. OneChild equips these children to reach their God-given potential by creating opportunities for transformational development holistically: spirit, mind, and body.
In June we’ll have an exciting message as part of our teaching series that is aligned with the adoptive nature of God the Father and will give you an opportunity to impact the life of a child in Honduras. At Authentic, we don’t write checks, we write stories; and our lead team is eager to partner with OneChild and you to make a difference in the lives of these children with medical, educational and nutritional support.

Our vision for the church is global: The body of Christ growing, strong, united. If the church is strong in a poverty-stricken community, we know that we can effectively help the children living there. A strong local church partner is one of our prerequisites for ministry. And that ministry isn’t possible without the support of the church in the U.S.

OneChild sponsors provide encouragement, love and support to children living in poverty. And they empower an entire community of caring individuals who walk alongside those children as they grow. We are accountable to the children we serve AND to our donors.
Our accountability to our donors is one of our highest priorities. Our goal is to use the funds entrusted to us as wise stewards. To do this requires continued monitoring of our fund distribution. OneChild is also a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA)
